Functions on demand*: as flexible as your life

A driving experience made just for you: with functions on demand*, your Audi adapts easily and directly to your needs. Enjoy the flexibility of being able to add selected optional extras* at a later date and use them immediately – for an unlimited period for those who have made up their mind or temporarily for those who are spontaneous. The functions are available exactly when and for as long as you wish. 

Activating the trial month* allows you to try out and familiarise yourself with new technologies. 

Booking and paying for the desired optional extras* is straightforward and convenient in the Audi Functions Store within myAudi. After completing the booking and restarting the vehicle, the function is available directly in your Audi – without having to visit the workshop, of course.

Infotainment

Smartphone interface*, *

Use navigation, telephone, music and selected third-party apps* from your smartphone* directly via the MMI display. Enjoy convenient operation via the touchscreen or by voice control* or have incoming messages read out to you* – on every journey without missing a thing. With functions on demand*, you can easily add the smartphone interface*.

MMI navigation plus with MMI touch

Are you leaving familiar territory? Before you lose precious time on unknown roads, simply book the required equipment MMI navigation plus with MMI touch using functions on demand and benefit immediately from online traffic information, intelligent route planning, 3D map display or language interaction*, among other things. This will get you to your destination in comfort.

Would you like an even better overview in your Audi virtual cockpit? The fully digital, high-resolution instrument cluster allows you to switch effortlessly between the different views. With functions on demand, you can book an additional “e-tron” view* and have the most important information at the centre of your focus.

That sounds like an upgrade for your listening experience: treat yourself to the sound function package, which provides three functions for additional audio quality and balance: bass intensification for a more precise and powerful sound, music revitalisation, which optimises the sound of compressed music, and automatic sound level adjustment that can compensate the differences in volume of different sources and tracks.

Virtual surround sound

Switch off and let yourself be carried away into an impressive world of sound: add a new acoustic dimension to your sound system – exactly when it feels right for you. Virtual surround sound creates an authentic 3D sound in your Audi. Let your music or audio book envelop you and transport you to the centre of the action.

Virtual surroundings

Your Audi, your very own personal concert hall: the virtual surroundings from Audi allow you to enjoy music in different acoustic scenarios and with a sound tailored to your preferences – whether opera, rock, hip-hop or audio book. Experience music and language as if you were there live and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a recording studio, cosy living room or lively concert.

Lighting technology

Matrix LED package*

Experience the night in a new way with highly adaptive light distribution and reduced glare effects: if the camera system detects vehicles ahead or oncoming vehicles, the matrix LED light selectively masks precisely just the area of the detected vehicle while all other segments of the main beam remain active. To prevent you from being dazzled by the light reflected from large signs, your Audi dims these for you. Improved illumination compared with LED headlights increases safety and comfort when driving in the dark. In addition, the dynamic light progression when indicating emphasises your demand for stylish design that stands out from the crowd.

Main beam assist*

Convenient for you, glare-free for oncoming traffic: main beam assist* automatically detects the headlights of oncoming traffic, the rear lights of other road users and light sources outside built-up areas. Depending on the traffic situation, the main beam is automatically switched on or off. The system thereby improves the driver’s visibility and enhances comfort and convenience.

Light function package*, *

Experience good visibility in almost all weather conditions: with the light function package*, *, your Audi ensures better illumination – thanks to practical lighting functions for day and night. The adaptive LED light automatically adjusts to your driving speed, intersection and turning lights provide greater lateral illumination, while the all-weather light reduces glare when visibility is poor.

Digital light signature

Your Audi’s appearance is made even more individual: make your visual statement with impressive digital light signatures and dynamic light scenarios, giving your Audi an unmistakable, expressive design language, both during the day and at night. Get additional light signatures for front* and rear* with your booking.

Driver assist systems

Adaptive cruise control*

Treat yourself to more driving comfort: adaptive cruise control* not only keeps the speed of your Audi constant, but also automatically maintains the distance to vehicles in front. In stop-and-go traffic, adaptive cruise control* automatically takes over braking and accelerating for you.

Camera-based recognition of traffic signs*

Your companion in the jungle of signs: camera-based traffic sign recognition* helps you recognise speed limits or overtaking bans in plenty of time and comply with them. Temporary or weather-related restrictions are also clearly displayed in the Audi virtual cockpit* and the optional head-up display* so that you can concentrate on the traffic.

Park assist*

Finding a parking space is difficult and you’d prefer the parking space to be bigger? Park assist* searches for suitable parking spaces along the road for you and takes over the steering process. Thanks to ultrasonic technology and visual obstacle warning, your Audi is guided into the parking space. This means that parking and unparking on your next trip to the city will be child’s play.

Two zones, twice the comfort: with the 2-zone deluxe automatic air conditioning, discussions about the right temperature will be a thing of the past. You and your front passenger can enjoy journeys with a pleasant climate.

Online logbook

No matter whether you want to keep business trips separate from private journeys or simply keep an overview – the digital logbook automatically records the date, time, start and destination as well as mileage and saves this data in the myAudi app*, where you can view personal statistics. The logbook is recognised by the tax office and can be transferred directly to your tax return, giving you more time for the important things in life.

Online traffic light information*

Green wave ahead: online traffic light information* lets you keep an eye on the city traffic. Your Audi shows you the right speed to drive at in order to reach the next traffic light on green. If the speed limit does not allow this, you will see a countdown of the remaining waiting time. This allows you to adapt your driving style in advance and avoid unnecessary stops.
